Male breast reduction (gynaecomastia) is a cosmetic surgery procedure that removes excess breast tissue in men. This condition usually presents as a soft, noncancerous growth beneath the nipple. True gynaecomastia surgery involves the removal of glandular and fatty breast tissue. Occasionally, only fatty tissue is present (pseudogynaecomastia) and can be removed by liposuction.
